Yummy Indian puddings

khulfi.jpgI recently discovered a nice Indian (actually Bengali) restaurant, just down the road from the East London Mosque, near Brick Lane. After stuffing myself with curry, I had not one, but two puddings - a yummy Khulfi (pictured) and an even yummier thing called Kheer!

Wells and Bath, Somerset

Bath Spa cathedralI went to see my mum in Wells at the weekend, picked blackberries to make a crumble, tormented the dog and generally chilled out. It’s the smallest city in England and where they filmed Hot Fuzz.

I took the train to Bath Spa, so there’s a couple of snaps from there too.

Weird Chinese Food

Nutritious Pickle For StudentsBought this from the Japanese food store in Brewer Street. It’s full of weird and wonderful things that could be food or a toy of some kind.

I was just intrigued by this ‘Nutritious Pickle For Students‘ (which I thought was Japanese, I’m told it’s Chinese), as I was by the UFO Noodles, or the drink called Pocari Sweat… yum!
